Anemia involves a reduction in hemoglobin levels in the blood; it can be caused by a lack of iron or even be a symptom of a health problem. Nettle and lemon are useful in these cases.

It can cause effects such as fatigue, hair loss or tachycardia, so you must always keep it under control before it turns into something more serious.

In this article we will talk about an ancient remedy based on nettle and lemon , two medicinal ingredients that will allow you to prevent and treat this problem in a natural way.

Check for anemia

Blood tests

If you suspect that you suffer from anemia, for example because you are more tired than normal and for no specific reason, it is essential that you do blood tests and go to the doctor to find out what is at the root of the problem.

Anemia can have multiple causes, such as nutritional deficiencies,  or be related to a health problem.

The doctor will be responsible for making a diagnosis and prescribing the most appropriate treatments based on the type and degree of anemia, as well as its cause.

Beware of iron supplements

If you have thought about taking iron supplements, first of all, you need to know the possible side effects as they can cause oxidation, causing discomfort and digestive problems.

To prevent it, always if it is not a severe form of anemia, it is important to increase the consumption of foods rich in iron  such as, for example, green leafy vegetables, legumes, beets, parsley, pollen, or alfalfa.

If you decide to take iron supplements, you will improve their effects by combining them with vitamin C.

The nettle

Mortar with nettle

Nettle is a plant that grows spontaneously and, although it is not widely used in cooking, it is an edible ingredient with which you can prepare delicious soups and velvets.

Medicinally, it is usually  used in the form of herbal tea or as a supplement.

It can be collected in pollution-free areas always wearing suitable gloves; its stinging characteristic disappears once cooked or dried.

Nettle is rich in vitamins and minerals, including iron, and its digestive, hepatic and diuretic properties make it an excellent remedy for purifying the body in general.

In this sense, in addition to correcting possible nutritional deficiencies, it will also help you cleanse the body and treat any problem.

The lemon

Lemon cannot be missing in any treatment, as it helps to enhance the purification of the body by improving the assimilation of nutrients.

In this case,  lemon is rich in vitamin C, which improves the absorption of the iron  present in the foods you eat.

We advise you to always choose lemons from organic farming and to use the peel in herbal teas, desserts, sauces, salads, etc.

You can also freeze it to enjoy its benefits when you need them.
